Optus Stadium is Perth’s premium venue for a range of national and international entertainment and sport events. During the 36 months the world-class stadium was under construction, it captured the attention of the whole city – if not the state.
Optus Stadium’s state-of-the-art design was centred around a ‘fans first’ philosophy. Their management team felt it was essential their security provider was willing and able to embrace this approach. The contract for the stadium’s security attracted attention from security companies based all around Australia.
As a locally owned and operated Perth business, we knew NPB Security was ideally placed to ensure the best results for Optus Stadium and the WA community. If we secured the contract, it would generate more employment for local people, which would create further benefits for Perth’s economy.
We had a proven track record for delivering outstanding customer service with a strong focus on ‘customer first’ venue and event security. This was a great fit with the stadium’s ‘fans first’ philosophy, especially as all our team members undergo our tailored customer service training.
Our large, highly skilled team had local knowledge and experience managing security in WA venues, giving us the capacity to adequately service the stadium. NPB Security also boasted a positive working relationship with WA Police, making cooperation at events easier.
NPB Security was awarded the contract for security at Optus Stadium ahead of some huge interstate companies. We have embraced the opportunity to protect the fans and customers, the beautiful venue and, of course, the Optus Stadium brand.
We provide a range of security services from pre-event asset protection to crowd control inside and outside the venue, mobile security patrols and vehicle inspections. Our team members monitor CCTV for the venue and use radio communications to stay in touch.
We offer close personal protection for VIPs and we provide security for a variety of other events held at Optus Stadium. Additionally, we run security training for stadium team members, so we are all aligned in our approach.
The Optus Stadium management team has been supportive and appreciative of our work to date.
