Scott Parry is one of the award-winning directors behind NPB Security.
In 2010, he and his business partner, David Barrett, identified a market for a higher-quality, more personalised security service in Perth. After talking it through over a couple of cold beers, they were ready to create that service, and they founded NPB Security.
Only three years later, they won the prestigious Telstra Business Award – WA Start Up – their first of many awards. They’ve continued to drive excellence in Perth’s security services industry ever since.
Experience and expertise
Scott brings over 15 years of security industry experience to the business. He’s organised security for every type of event, from sports fixtures and community events to music festivals and concerts, with crowds ranging from 35 – 350,000 people. He’s also a specialist in risk and security analysis.
‘I’ve been able to witness and positively contribute to the ever-changing climate, image, integrity and reputation of the security industry in Western Australia.’
Scott takes a collaborative approach to protecting his clients’ people, customers, assets and reputations. Over the years, he’s built strong working relationships with the Western Australian Police Department, Liquor Enforcement Unit and Racing, Gaming & Liquor.
Creating a skilled, high-performing team
Scott regularly participates in professional development and industry research to make sure NPB Security offers the best security solutions for every client. So it’s no surprise ongoing training is part of the culture at NPB Security.
‘We only work with highly trained security personnel and we proactively encourage our workforce of 1,000+ to upskill. We’ve even created in-house customer service training in collaboration with the Australian Hotels Association, for the whole team.
And, of course, our people hold a range of security industry qualifications and specialised training like the White Card for the construction industry.’
When he’s not coordinating security for large-scale events, venues, retail centres or businesses, Scott loves to spend time boating, fishing, or bike riding with his family. He enjoys most sports but is particularly interested in Perth’s grassroots sports movement.
Both he and David are mad about their barbeque skills and compete to see who can create the tastiest dish! Although, just quietly, Scott’s pretty sure it’s him!
